TCA-Design is a design only consulting firm that has been recently formed by one of the founding Principals of ACT Associates. Originally Located in Storrs CT, the first ACT office was formed in 2004 and was a highly successful firm with a sixteen-year history of delivering high-quality Audio-Visual design services and documentation.

Martin Calverley, Principal - Designer

Martin brings with him over 35 years of audiovisual consulting and design experience. Prior to forming TCA-Design, Martin was a founding principle of one of New England’s leading independent AV design firms. The former company developed an excellent reputation for high quality documentation and deliverables from schematic design through construction administration.

Some of Martin’s Clients include:

MIT Lincoln Labs, Liberty Mutual, JLABS, Children’s National Hospital – Walter Reed, UCONN, The Hartford, Boston College, State of Connecticut, Yale, Aetna, Middlebury College.

Prior to 2004, Martin was responsible for providing direction and guidance to the highly skilled individuals comprising the Engineering Department of AV Associates, Inc. Martin is credited with helping build a small audiovisual design/build company into a large profitable enterprise with several regional offices in the Northeast. This growth resulted in active, hands-on involvement and promotion in many areas of operations, creating a wide depth of experience during his tenure at AVA.

In addition to leading a formidable engineering department, Martin also provided design and engineering services on larger-scale higher-end projects. He has been central to the successful completion of numerous award-winning projects.
